The enactment of the attached “Regulation on the Protection of Buildings from Fire” has been decided by the Council of Ministers on 27/11/2007, upon the letter of the Ministry of Public Works and Settlement dated 1/11/2007 and numbered 5098, in accordance with the additional article 9 of the Civil Defense Law numbered 7126.

CHAPTER ONE
Purpose, Scope, Legal Basis and Definitions
Purpose
ARTICLE 1- (1) The purpose of this Regulation is to determine the procedures and principles of the measures to be taken, organization, training and supervision before and during a fire, in order to minimize the fires that may occur during the design, construction, operation, maintenance and use phases of all kinds of structures, buildings, facilities and enterprises used by public institutions and organizations, private organizations and real persons, and to ensure that any fire that may break out in any way is extinguished by minimizing the loss of life and property. |
