CLASS B SURGE ARRESTER

Class B surge arresters, which you can find under the old item number 718.560 and the new item number 35.115.2100 in the unit price list for panel type surge protectors or undervoltage arresters, are protection elements designed to be applied to the outermost parts of buildings.

Class B surge arresters are manufactured to absorb the first shock at the building entrance and prevent it from entering; It must withstand a lightning surge of 100kA at a voltage pulse of 2.5kV and have a discharge capacity of 50kA.

Since Class B surge arresters are used at building entrances, 4-pole versions are the most preferred, and their technical details are listed below.
